I just have to disagree!!!! How can anyone touch this SACRED bit of Americana??

And I am usually the one that loves things remade and enhanced....but not for the Stooges.

Mildly disagree with Brother PacoLoco about Sean Penn--Whatever your personal feelings about Mr. Penn, understand he is the consummate actor of his generation--if he can play Harvey Milk and have you believe in the characterization, he can play anybody. He thinks he can do it and that makes us believe he has done it. With his "pull" also his being on board will make it happen. Of course the proof of the pudding is in the eating...

Stranger things have happened--look at the contortions Shakepeare's writings have been put through and the underlying narrative survived--gender bending, race changing, time changing (I'm thinking Richard II as a Fascist fantasy here). Remember also Willy used young males for all the female roles, in the fashion of the times. So...
