I think they will win, but honestly I think things like the national title and the heisman trophy are a sham.
I am not a person who believes a playoff system would be much better and it is certainly never going to be a reality, but there is about a dime of difference between several one-loss teams, as evidenced by Big XII conference play alone. Oklahoma is probably the best team in the conference, but by a very slim margin and what's more that is not even the reason they are there.
The two best teams in the nation are probably Florida and SC, but a team like SC or PSU lost all hopes losing ONE game despite the fact that two one-loss teams are playing.
Don't even get me started on the best-quarterback-on-a-winning-team award AKA the Heisman Trophy. Let these schmucks hoist that hardware while the runners-up count their millions in the pros. You have to be a goddamn superman to win the award as a running back (even if you get 2000 yards, it's no guarantee, ask Larry Johnson) and at any other position, forget it! There have been plenty of years where guys like Orlando Pace and Joe Thomas have been the best players in the nation and they don't get so much as a mention, let alone a nomination. Dumb award, almost as worthless as Pro Bowl selection.
OK, that's the end of my rant, in short, I agree, Gators win handily over the Sooners.
