If Costa Rica sucks so much, why do so many people keep moving there? Is it just a case of "misery loves company," or are you all secretly enjoying the pura vida lifestyle while pretending to hate it?

It phucking sucks, but I have to go there next month. I'm already dreading it because I'm going to needlessly spend about triple what I would in Colombia for the same number of days.

Local Colombians seem to detest the gringos. Not sure much in CR, at least to our faces. Plus you seem to have less of a chance of being robbed/drugged/kidnapped in CR. I think the price is justified.

Yes I have noticed guys in their 40s or 50s survive after their bank account is drained but the 70s year old usually die after being on scopolomine a few days And with my $1,000 limit on my debit card I would be knocked out for several days

What is the percentage of all the guys who session on any given day who get scoped? Anyone hazard a guess?

I've gotten to know a few mongers in Medellin in the times I've been there. And a few normal tourists, digital nomads etc. I would say about 25 percent of those I've asked have been scoped or drugged with something not of their choice. I have never met anyone with that experience in Costa Rica, or anywhere else for that matter.
