'Bout time we started a thread about the future NFC Champs, right, Brother IrishDrifter? Now last week it's true the team flamed but the contest itself (1) had the highest ratings in MNF or maybe Cable history (2) if you (legally) bet them you made money.
How's Mr. Roethelsberger's ass right about now? I mean he was on it all night long. Our "B" team beat the Steelers- guess what our "A" team's gonna do the rest of the year?
Oh, and how about them Phillies? Maybe it's Philadelphia's turn in all sports this year.

well, i guess they are unbeatable, unstoppable, oh wait someone already beat them, someone already stopped them...see sports are so confusing, if you have the highest rated game(i assume that means alot of people are watching it becuz of total reruns on all the other stations) then you lose that game, that makes you a winner, somehow????

While I certainly share Brother Jazzbo's hope that the Eagles capture the NFC championship I am somewhat cautious.

A couple of games do not make a season.

They play in arguably the toughest NFL division with the Giants, defending Superbowl champs, the Cowboys, on paper the most talented team in the NFC, the Skins, who are surprising everyone. A real challange just finishing first in that division.

Injuries always play a large part of a teams success and McNabb has a history of injury, Westbrook most likely will not play against the Bears on Sunday and there are 13 games to go so there are most likely more chances that an impact player will be injured.

Yes they made the Steelers look bad but then the Dolphins made the Patriots look very bad and I doubt many think they will win the AFC.

All that being said I still join you in:

GO EAGLES!!!!!

I don't even think you can argue that this year. The NFC East is hands down the best division. The only way both wild cards dont come from that division is if they just hammer each other injury-wise. In other words...the Bears better figure out how to stop losing games late in the 4th quarter
