The Eagles stink--after they work so hard, accomplish so much and squash opponents. I'm kind of smelly myself after a hard day fighting the funk.

Thay have not won the NFL title since 1960. I was not even on earth at that time

What have they accomplished

All due respect Brother NYG but the past is merely prologue--it's the promise of what the future holds that's important. How's that for some kind of mealy-mouthed bushwa? BTW, congrats at discovering CR at a younger age--wish I'd done the same.
Now, let the revels (and the NFL season) commence!
GO EAGLES!

While the Eagles have had many disappointing seasons they have had some success since 1960.

1980........lost Super Bowl

1988........NFC East Champion

2001........NFC East Champion

2002........NFC East Championship

2003........NFC East Championship

2004........Lost Super Bowl

2006........NFC East Championship

Lot of teams would like to have had that lack of accomplishment.

ID,

Buffalo lost the SuperBowl 4 times in a row. The Oilers made the playoffs 7 or 8 years in a row and never advanced past the first game. I guess they should be proud of their accomplishments too...

I think anytime you advance to the post season you should have some pride as many teams are watching ALL the playoff games, including the first one, at home.

To be the best team out of the 16 in the AFC in a particular year is certainly something to be proud of no matter the outcome of the Super Bowl.

Are the pro bowl players or the baseball all star game players any less proud of their achievement and recognition if their team loses? I don't think so.

Also ID as you said the past is the past. Iggle fans are the most idiotic in the nation :P

They boast about being tough and get pushed around Giants Stadium every year  8)

This thread seems to be all about east coast teams. I am a Browns fan, which, I guess makes me an automatic loser since the Browns have never been to a SB let alone win one. We had our glory years in the early 60's and have been a footnote ever since. Still, they are my home team and win or lose, they are my team.

We have relatively high hopes coming into this season, having been much improved last year. That said, our last 2 pre-season games have been embarrassing and a much tougher schedule this season bodes more of the same.

So go ahead and brag about your Giants, Eagles and Jets. I am from Cleveland, my team is the Browns, and I am a fan.

GO BROWNS!!!

To back-up Brother ID--we're not talking about those winter sports where half a league advances to the post-season and the past really is prologue.
I work with a guy who's a total nut (I'm in NJ, mind you) for KC teams (no accounting for taste) so for his benefit: GO CHIEFS!
Where's all those Arizona, Seattle, etc. backers--conspicuous by their absence. Say, don't they have a team in Denver or somewhere like that?
Bunch of closet fans? Drinkin' p*ss-weak Colorado Kool-aid? Step up, gents.
