Dutch look mighty good, but momentum changes fast, a little surprised to see France struggle this much, Portugal does look strong too, but I just don't see them getting all the way through. I love when a team like Greece comes out to win these things... Anyone else paying attention!?!?!??! |

Anyone else paying attention!?!?!??! Why yes I am. I have my Dutch National Team jersey out and ready for action. I just watched Russia beat Greece. That means Greece is eliminated based on the play of the other teams in their group. |

I just watched the second half of that Turkey match, it's been a long time since I've since a comeback like that. People who say soccer isn't action packed need to see what happened in the end of that match. I still can't believe Peter Cech choked on that one, but the other two goals were simply elegant finishs. Then the idiot goalkeeper gets tossed, will hurt them in the next match, silly Turks. Overall, I don't think you can trust Spain, Portugal and the Dutch are on opposite sides of the draw and looks like Portugal vs. Spain is an option in the semis. The Italians are not out yet either, if they get momentum we have seen what they can do. Should be a crazy few weeks. Oh yeah, the US got off to a great start... vs... Barbados... we suck, but imagine if athletes like Iverson grew up with a soccer ball instead of rap music, we would rival Brazil, it will never happen, it's not part of our culture. |

Missed the UEFA Cup final didn't you. 
The US destroyed Barbados. I felt sorry for the Barbados team who could not score with the backup goalie in for the US. The Netherlands is going home. 
Was a good game but Russia scored those two goals in the extra time and that just sealed the Dutch fate. Tomorrow is Spain vs Italy. |

Las Caballeros de Turquia!!! What an effing match, just watching the Croatians laying on the ground in utter devestation... watching the Turkish fans chain smoking during spot kicks, and finally that team just lying there, crying... there really isn't a sport like it... I want to watch Turkey go all the way now, it would be insane, 100% of the Turkish fans would be arrested, they are already on their way.... ABout to watch the Dutch game on DVR, I have a feeling about Italy over Germany... but who knows with this game... |

HJ- for me, since being in Astoria, Queens when the Grecians won this tournament in 2004. The atmosphere was insane. And judging from the crowd in Miami for lunch today, plenty of folks showing support for their team (be it Italy or Spain).
I could care less about MLS or regular European soccer but this tournament is awesome. |

imagine 20 years ago you told some Europeans about this final four... 1) Germany... repsonse... "What... East or West" 2) Turkey.... "Wait, you said Europe 3) Russia.... "Wait, you mean the good ole CCCP? 4) Spain... "Haha, they haven't choked yet?" What a tournament, If we can get a Turkey comeback in the final... wow... this game is always this good at the top levels... it lacks the drama of US Football for many ebcause we don't know the story but Soccer there is bigger than football here...
