Full Article: http://www.tallahassee.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... /804180359 Florida Senate amendment takes on 'Truck Nutz' By Betty Parker • FLORIDA CAPITAL BUREAU • April 18, 2008 The Florida Senate on Thursday passed an amendment to impose a $60 fine on Truck Nutz, one brand name for the novelty item on vehicle trailer hitches that resemble the dangling southern end of a northbound bull. The proposal would make displaying bull genitalia reproductions on a vehicle subject to a $60 fine, moving violations and points against a driver license. The penalties were proposed by Sen. Carey Baker, R-Eustis. Sen. Jim King, R-Jacksonville, said he had a set on one of his vehicles, which he described as "all pimped out." They are no more than "an expression of truckliness," he said, although he'd acceded to his wife's request to take them off. "I find it shocking we'd tell people with metallic testicles on their bumpers that this is a violation," said Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale. "There's got to be better things for us to spend time debating." Geller suggested this ban might be followed by prohibiting silhouettes of nude women on truck mud flaps. "We're basically going to have the bumper police," King said. "All their concerns are legitimate," Baker said of the critics. "And I do have more important things to do this session. But I think this is important, too." The transportation bill was debated Thursday, and a vote is expected next week. The House version, however, doesn't include the prohibition. |

What about the real bulls with real nuts? How can you have a good rodeo with a bull with no balls; there will be no rope to pull tight on his sack to piss him off? Maybe we need to start cutting the balls of horses in parades...and hell dogs and cats too. Can't have hairy balls hanging around all over, think of the madness. |

While I think truck nutz are funny, I'll side with parents who don't want their K*ds seeing them. Fla is on target! |

I don't follow, El V. I just don't think K*ds would find them interesting beyond their initial exposure as long as nobody made a big deal of it and I don't think they would be shocked and offended unless somebody led them to believe they should find it shocking and offensive. Maybe I'm just jaded from growing up in the country where balls is balls, "yep 'em's balls, yawn". Dogs got 'em, cats got 'em, pigs good lord, got 'em! Bulls and rams but rarely horses and we barely noticed. Why would somebody hanging a brass pair off his trailer hitch be so disgusting to K*ds? They would probably think the guy was a dork and let it go at that. Just my opinion. ![]() |

Ah, I do love "social conservatives." Today, bull balls. Tomorrow, birkas. In Minneapolis, suit was brought by an animal rights group against an over-the-road trucker whose Kenworth grille was decorated with a very realistic coyote, spine to the grille, legs splayed wide. Of course it was a gag... Wile E. Coyote... a panel right out of the Roadrunner cartoons. It can get ridiculous. We don't censor songs like "Smell Your Di*k," and our youngsters can check it out on youtube or google video. K*ds have access to all kinds of porno...and worse, violence. The video game Grand Theft Auto 3 - San Andreas allows a player to win points by repeatedly kicking a prostitute in the crotch until she bleeds out and dies... and some yeehoo in Florida is worried about anatomical souvenirs from bulls. Scary. |

They aren't even real. they are made of plastic and rubber. they are often chrome, red, blue and green. they are not even realistic. don't get me started on "it's for the K*ds." everything they try to sensor in this country is in the name of our Ch*ldren. I am starting to really not like this country I live in! |
