Police in Radnor , Pa. interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine.

The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the
copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth.

Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

May well be an urban legend. However Snopes does not say it did not happen . They spend a lot of time dismissing it because of the use of a colander claiming it would not be a piece of kitchen gear available at a police station. I am not saying it happened and it was posted in the Smack Talk section.

Perhaps the interrogation occurred in a correctional facility where there was a kitchen facility. Perhaps some quick thinking detective borrowed one from the local Denny's. There are just as many plausible scenarios as implausible ones that Snopes came up with.

Anyway it was just a fun piece. Accept it reject it and then go find some hot chica

When I read the piece on snopes and got to that part I immediatly thought of the police headquarters where I live which also houses the fire department, which includes living space for the firemen. I don't think the presence of the colander in a police station is much of a red flag, if any. And they sure do spend a lot of time talking about it.
