As a resident of California for the past 40 years (born in Vegas but moved to California at age 7 with family), I can concur with some of what you write regarding the state. As a peace officer I can attest to some of the ridiculous laws and conflicts we can encounter with some of the liberal factions in the political arena. Ron Dellums is certainly one of them. But I do take exception to the communist reference to Californians. We currently have a Republican governor and one of the greatest presidents, Ronald Reagan, was also a California (Republican) governor before that.

Don't judge 32 million Californians off of the idiocy of a few left wing wingnuts. Besides, you also have the Oakland Raiders from Dellums hometown and they have been known for a different kind of liberalism. Lousy football is currently on their agenda, but they also have a history of mongering of epic proportions.

You are right of course.
Nonetheless, the perceptions are still there.

Hey, I'm with you. Ron Dellums has been a wingnut since the 60's and hasn't changed a beat in 40 plus years. Which also translates to 40 years of smack talk us non-commie Californians have had to put up with! But, hey, we still got Ah-nold and we once had Roh-nald!
