Nope, the Cubbies are National League champions-congratulations cub fans. Another bitter disappointment for dodger nation, 28 yrs. & counting since Kirk, Orel & the boys made us proud. 3 blowout wins by the cubs after we took the 2-1 series lead proved who the best team was.

Good luck against the tribe. I'm gonna cry in my rum, & repack my suitcase which had 3 dodger shirts in it for tonites trip to sjo!

7 months later Dodgers finish off 3-game sweep of the Cubs at Chavez Ravine this afternoon in what was a shocking slugfest. Certainly doesn't make amends for the nlcs last year but maybe, just maybe, things will be different this October.

I truly believe the pitching is fine especially the way they use the pen. I think that one big right handed bat is what they need to get them over the top. Someone like JD Martinez, Braun would be a perfect fit but not sure I want him near this team given his past

braun has that huge contract, i'd even go bautista on a rental same as martinez
depth on this team is pretty impressive

Like your chances if you find some bullpen pieces to get you to Jansen.. Especially the way the Cubs bats have gone ice cold

getting swept by the pads is something no contender would hope for but sometime you gotta hit bottom...
kind of takes some of the starch out of our recent sweep lol
our bp is interesting and rhp would seem to be a definite need down there
we used ryu in long relief the other day and i love that but wood went to the 10 day
sometimes hard to figure out exactly what the FO nerds are up to but i'm beginning to get it
not like our pen has been terrible
and i really don't want to trade any of the blue chip prospects
watching the K*ds play is what makes bb so much fun
