Have any of you guys spent time in Nicaragua? Any opinions as to which towns or hotels to vaca for 2 weeks?

Be prepared for hot if you go. Think Jaco type heat with a little less humidity. I would stay in Granada or Masaya with a preference on Granada. Things are cheap in Nicaragua so that is a plus. If you speak spanish and are not afraid to tactfully approach the ladies you will have no issues with finding playmates. I would not want to do 2 weeks in Nicaragua but 5-7 days gets it out of your system. If it was me I would consider doing a multiple stop plane fare and hit Nicaragua for a few days then fly to Costa Rica or the Dominican for the remainder if you have 2 weeks of time off. The other thing would be to fly into Costa rica then take NicaBus up to Granada. That will set you back about 60.00 round trip and about 18 hours of your life.
