I here you Brother PR. As these SI stats clearly show, the Dodger pitching staff would have to get a lot better just to be mediocre (team ERA = 4.10 with 4.5 runs allowed per game): http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseba ... s-dodgers/

No, Brother LaD--you pretty much nailed it. I don't see the NL West Coast as being that much a threat--y'all continue to beat each other up--it'll give us that much more time to heal (our infield is some kind of beat-up--looking to trade serious prospects for some non-contenders trade help now).

this was pm'd to me by an esteemed member. if you are a true blue dodger fan you might want a barf bag nearby. long read but "malibu" and "swimmer" have decimated this team. 390 million borrowed against future ticket sales so these cocksuckers could live their "lifestyle". only going to get worse.

^ no thanks. the aids thing bugs me a little
and as bad as it sounds i may actually enjoy a poor second half. that could combine with the following to actually oust this fool from ownership. one can hope.

LOS ANGELES--

The list grew by one of the people tired of hearing Frank and Jamie McCourt bicker.

The addition? The judge presiding over their divorce.

The Los Angeles Dodgers could be ordered sold if the McCourts do not resolve payments, including property taxes and attorney's fees, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Each McCourt continues to complain of low liquidity, and L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon thought of one way to resolve their cash flow issue -- putting a for sale sign at Chavez Ravine, the newspaper said.

"The parties are unintentionally pushing the court toward an interesting position -- selling the asset which is being fought over," Gordon said in a court hearing.

The Dodgers and their facilities are worth over $700 million, according to Forbes Magazine. According to an article in the July issue of ESPN The Magazine, Frank McCourt has borrowed an estimated $390 million against the team.

Observers of the divorce view the court commissioner's language in the court ruling as a threat. The commissioner is more likely to make the McCourts sell off other assets such as one of their many estates.

The McCourts purchased the Dodgers in 2004 from News Corp. Under the McCourts ownership, the Dodgers have been to the playoffs four times, advancing to the NLCS in 2008 and 2009.

looks like frankie is going to reap what he has sown. 7 out and a weekend in SF. could be a recipe for LA humiliation. still hope we can at least beat the giants but i think it is more likely we start getting rid of salary. sucks to be a dodger fan about now. eli broad please come and save us.

On behalf of the Philadelphia Phillies, we welcome the LAXatives visit this week. We're cruising with a 15-wins-in-18-games streak going on. How are y'all LADs doin? Ho ho. At least we're sparing you Roy Halladay--Roy Oswalt on Wednesday though. How come all 3 LAXative pitchers are still to be announced? A little confusion there?

surprised i'm the first one in after tonight. i'm bleeding dodger blue alright. why do we call broxton our closer when he's clearly our bloser. this guy can't win a big game if his life depends on it. get the psychiatrist already. what a joke.
and so begins the darkest of dodger eras.

Hell of a series, wasn't it? Our pitching collapsed in the first game (and y'all fattened up some BA's and RBI totals), the second a classic pitcher's duel we were fortunate to win, the third shows we you can never give up on a Phillies game 'cuz the players sure don't. In 2 of the 3 games, the loser had 9 runs which should win you 90% of games played. On Broxton--Y'all pay him but the Phillies OWN him.
Now bring on the hapless sad-sack Mets--we're ready.
