understand any organization wanting to cut spending a little but this is just insane. the dodgers are a great franchise and the city of LA supports the hell out of that club. i probably drop between 4-6000 a year on tickets and concessions, not to mention 15 dollar parking and 12 dollar beers. not next year. i will follow my club on tv.
and seeing as you went political, how about transparency of ramming through universal health care on sundays and holidays? most of us don't even want it but open wide.

In memory of Willie Davis who was found dead on March 9 2010 in Burbank, Cal.

Dodger owner Frank McCourt made the following statement regarding the passing of former Dodger outfielder Willie Davis.

"Willie Davis went from a local talent at Roosevelt High School to a World Champion center fielder for the Dodgers in just a few years and many of his records still stand today. He was beloved by generations of Dodger fans and remains one of the most talented players ever to wear the Dodger uniform. Having spent time with him over the past six years, I know how proud he was to have been a Dodger. He will surely be missed and our sincere thoughts are with his Ch*ldren during this difficult time."

William Henry Davis was born on April 15, 1940 in Mineral Springs, AR. He was a world-class sprinter at Roosevelt High in Los Angeles when he was spotted by Dodger scout Kenny Myers, who projected Davis as a baseball center fielder.

The Dodgers signed Davis upon graduation in 1958 and he was in the Major League two years later. Davis spent 14 seasons with the Dodgers from 1960-73 and he remains the Los Angeles franchise leader in hits (2,091), extra-base hits (585), at-bats (7,495), runs (1,004), triples (110) and total bases (3,094).

He set a team record in 1969 with a 31-game hitting streak and was a member of championship teams in 1963 and 1965. Davis won three Gold Glove Awards from 1971-73.

so the intention is to pick up the mantle for the fallen florida is it? not much you can do when an ump refuses to call a decent strike zone (tonight). but beyond that you won't get much disagreement on the fact the team sucks this year. we have an owner that refuses to spend and is going through a divorce. we are rotten from the head down. if it weren't for the kemps and eithiers i wouldn't watch. what a poor excuse for a pitching staff and our bullpen is garbage.
