Paco, I haven't checked, but would have to think at least ONE of the zillion shoe stores in SJ would have at least GoreTex trail-runners, after all they resemble sneakers and running shoes and would fit right in. Otherwise I'd like to know where there is a US-style sporting goods store.

I have a pair of Salomons, great for light trail use and the wet streets of SJ. They don't have laces but these locking pull-cord thingys--easy-off/easy-on, perfect for ZB or other MP.
