Always appreciate your observations and additions, GT.....they're always so spot on and correct, even down to the time line.
I can't remember....did we ever meet at the Amistad?
Irrespective, YES, Frampton made a pile of cash off of that one album in conjunction with that major stadium tour to "support it". I could very well be wrong on this one, but I think that "support tour" went on for damn near two years......"Do you feel like we do...." indeed......Ka ching!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$

Rockin' the Fillmore '71...awesome!
Interesting...Peter Frampton is not in the second video...that's Clem Clempson playing lead guitar.
Frampton cooked his own goose when he split humble pie, Gringotim, and had that one album that essentially ruined his ability to get any meaningful work after it.....it was stadium rock time and that piece of trash song "Do You Feel Like We Do". But that's my perspective. Just never got into that gimmicky talk box gizmo and am pretty biased against foot switches of any kind. Guitar and amp. *shrug*
Yeah, it's hard to figure why Frampton left HP. Marriott always thought that Frampton was an awesome guitar player

But that's happened quite often in the history of bands...Sting of the Police comes to mind. And Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. And the Guns N' Roses split. The reasoning usually is "they wanted to go in a different direction musically"

After 'Frampton Comes Alive' ('76), his career went downhill. But, as that album sold many millions of records, it set him up financially for the rest of his life.
I have to agree with the talk-box...just a gimmick. Joe Perry of Aerosmith used in on a couple of their songs, and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi used it ("It's My Life") occasionally as well.
