What I want to know is what Donovan said into that phone. Classless? Give me a break, there is no bigger company man/class act in football, it's almost to a fault because he should have given an earful to Owens or at least Limbaugh.

My favorite such moment was Shannon Sharpe--one of the greatest smack talkers of all time--picking up the sideline phone at Foxborough and shouting into the phone beside a bunch of Pats fans, "Mr President, send in the national guard, we are killing the Patriots, repeat, this is not a drill, we are killing the Patriots." Then he puts down the phone and shouts to the crowd, "Don't worry, help is on the way!"

Philly is going to have to approach the Cards a lot differently, against New York they stacked the box and dared the Giants to throw deep. It's the exact opposite against the Cards. Strength against strength with Samuel on Fitzgerald but they will have to help over the top anyway. Fitz is not like Marvin Harrison, he gets moved around all the time so communication will be big. Dawkins has to be sharper and Mikell has to be 100%, neither was the case last week. Giants played a pretty pathetic game on offense really. Philly played better but just like the win over Minnesota they have to forget it and play even better to keep advancing.

To me....it will be about how much inside pressure they can generate without having to send guys from the edges. If Warner can slide up in the pocket and they pick off a blitzer, good night. But if pressure comes from the middle he is dead in the water as he can't run outside the pocket.

Just MHO of course.

Come on....Seriously...if the roles were reversed and Eli had done that. Would you still be this upset? It was wicked funny :!: Albeit pretty stupid seeing as they play each other twice a year! But then again, are they going to try to sack him harder?

One of the funniest NFL clips EVER is the one with Shannon Sharpe mouthing off. "Someone call in the National Guard, because we are killing the Patriots." Stupid yes...Funny? Hell yes :!:

The point is Eli would not have done it

You got that right. He is still to busy trying to figure out how to complete a pass to his own man on a windy day. Got no time for phone calls.

Brother ID--you so BAAD...and so right. Yes, Mr. Dawkins and Mr. Mikell will have to step it up this Sunday--the point is that they know it and they will. They're not playing a flaccid team this week. The Eagles. rightly or wrongly have played at the level of their opponents--they need to be the LEADER this week. No flash, no unpleasant surprises, just solid O and D from minute 1.

Ouch :P

It is always windy in Giants stadium last I checked
The presure is all on the Iggles

Arizona first time (and last NFC team) to the to NFC championship game no pressure

Steelers 5 SB trophies and a K*D coach and QB with ring. no pressure

Ravens rookie QB K*D coach and proud defense that already has ring. no pressure

Iggles 5 NFC championship games, QB may be HOF and Coach that is 7-0 in first round playoff games. NO RINGS

VICE GRIP PRESURE

The Eagles seem to be the Giants of last season's playoffs, and following the same path as 6th seed. Left for dead at one point, they've come back like a team possessed. Like a zombie they're and chomping down on the other teams. :D

Provokes the question and shows my limited knowledge--Has there been a Hall of Fame quarterback who DIDN'T win a Super Bowl? I mean in the SB era, natch.
GO EAGLES--show the naysayers what pressure players you are.
