I once sat behind Stephen A. Smith on a 5:40 a.m. Spirit flight from Detroit to LGA (I was connecting back from Vegas), he said THIS IS THE BEST PLANE IN THE A-I-R BABY!!!

I have had four such encounters on planes in my life. The first time was when I was a K*D and sat next to Marlon Brando.
(Nice guy.) The second time was siting just in front of Senator Joe Biden while his staff was kissing his arse. (Really obnoxious smarmy bootlickers). The third time our plane was held at the gate for an unknown reason. Ten minutes after we were supposed they reopened the door and Jesse Jackson boarded with his entourage. Jesse was smiling and trying to shake everyone's hand as he walked back to his seat. (I felt like telling him to shut up and sit down, but I kept my mouth shut. But, I know that the airline held us at the gate because Jesse was late.) The last event was sitting just behing Senator Joe Liberman and his wife. Very nice folks, both.
