is that once you get into big league ball,
Net Present Value is a better metric than income,
$500K in income/yr is about equivalent to $5-10M depending on the return on investment you are getting, more or less,
so, if Mr 500K has current assets of 10M, then thats equiv to someone with 15-20M and no income, other than the income on investments.
also, pre-tax post tax "income" matters too, $500K pre-tax income is probably equiv to 300K post tax (Fed, state, property etc),
ie, some one with income from tax-free zones at 300K is equiv to 500K in 40% zone
all of which points to limited item 1 of EC's more complete evaluation,
and some how, i am not inclined to think the quality of 4 is going to be very good
