Dallas Cowgirls will get lucky and squeak into the playoffs before gettin' spanked by a real team. Homo ... I mean Romo , won't make it 16 games this year. ..... NYG , 8 teams making it again is not a big stretch. Most of the 12 teams that made it last year will still be good this year. I think the biggest surprises will be the Jets and Cardinals. My pick for a team dropping out will be Seattle. The NFC west is alot tougher now.

I get your logic but I think if you search back a few years you will find that 8 is alot.

Now this thread has just gotten ridiculous, we love to hate the Saints more than the Cowboys, N.O. shouldn't even be allowed to have an NFL team, N.O. is short for NO chance in hell and Saints are called the Aints they suck and always will. :P

Saints in the Super Bowl? Yeah, and Marion Barry wins the Democratic nomination for president.

The Saints went 10-6 last year and return much of the same team. Only 5 other teams had better records and the Bears were the only NFC team in that group.

The only two top teams they play this year are the Colts and Bears. They also face Philly, Seattle and St. Louis but none of them are unbeatable.
Within their division they have the Falcons, Bucs and Panthers (that's 6 wins right there).

Them making it to the Super Bowl in 2008 is not that much of a stretch, stranger things have happened.
At the very least I would put money on them to win their division again.

I would not diasgree that they will be competetive in their division....but I have a hunch that "feel good" story of last year, where the SuperDome was packed and the excitement was there, will be gone. But I wish them luck, as I have always enjoyed watching Deuce. :D

I don't think it was just a one year thing. Those Saints fans have always been a little crazy, more so recently. I know they always bring busloads to Atlanta to play the Falcons.

As for talent let's not forget about Drew Brees and Reggie Bush.

I'm not a Saints fan but I do like to watch them play.

I got a lot of pals who like the Saints...heck Eli's daddy was a Saint....would love to see them be competitive...I just think history mandates they will be disappointing. But, of course, that is why they play the game. Just wish I had taken the under on the Falcons' season wins in Vegas a couple weeks ago....

ps With Vick out indefinitely, is it worth going to ATL to see the Giants play on Monday night or should I save the airfare and time off work for a November strike to CR? Thinking San Jose in November may be nice....Just hope QBF isn't at ZB when I'm in town... :D

Who gives a crap at this time of the year anyway. Forget pre-season. After about 8 or 9 games into the regular season there will be something worth while to discuss. Yawn.

P.S. Perhaps by then The Michael Vick legal case / court will be taking place which I sincerely hope that the media sensationalists do not turn it into a dreaded reminder of the O.J. fiasco. Let the man have his due process without all the hype.....but the battle lines are already beginning to form and are turning this into a racial fiasco which is dead wrong.

It's about cruelty to animals and illegal dogfighting, plain and simple.

Did I mention how much I adhor cruelty to animals. Of course the beatings I took from my first wife don't count in this issue.

Which NFC team does everybody like out there? It doesn't matter to me that i'm getting heat for picking the Saints.A team that has no tradition is allways going to be frowned on. I don't think that they were a fluke last year.
