YO Older Fellows:
Do any of there pertain to you?

Perks of being a senior...

* Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
* In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
* No one expects you to run into a burning building.
* People call you at 10am and ask, "Did I wake you?"
* People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
* There's nothing left to learn the hard way.
* Things you buy now won't wear out.
* You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.
* You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.
* You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
* You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who you meet.
* You sing along with elevator music.
* Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
* Your joints predict the weather better than the Nat. Weather Service.
* Your secrets are safe with friends because they can't remember them.
* Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.
* You add two additional medicine cabinets in the bath.
* After foreplay you fall asleep.
* Spend most of your time in SJ at the library.
* Worry about finding your grand daughter at the BM.
* Rough sex is being on top over 3 minutes.
* Realizing that 911 on the hotel phone is not laundry service.
* Telling chicas that the grand Ch*ldren photos is your son and daughter.
* Vitamin V no longer works.
* One condom is all you need for a week in CR.
* Shit........now I'm depressed.

YO Circus,
Don't be blue. You can still live vicariously through the rest of the monger nation, I swear I saw you asleep in your cardboard condo in Medellin. 8) Were you following me? :o

Circus...great list!

How about these...

You know that the Beatles weren't Paul McCartney's back-up band.

You can remember when soda didn't come with pop-up tops and you had to use a 'church-key' to open them (remember that...one large hole on one side to drink from and another smaller air hole on the opposite side on the top).

You can remember when each neighborhood had a milkman and the milk came in the bottles with a few inches of cream on top.

You can remember Ipana toothpaste.

You can remember TV shows such as The Bob Cummings Show, Dobie Gillis, The Whirlybirds, Pete and Gladys, The Rebel, 77 Sunset Strip, etc.

You can remember watching Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Mickey Mantle and when the Dodgers played in Brooklyn and the Colts played in Baltimore.

You can remember the TV debate between JFK and Nixon.

You can remember where you were when JFK got shot.

You can remember when JFK airport in NY was called Idlewild.

How about this:

You have to think if spending $99.00 for a LIFETIME membership is a wise financial decision.

Sparky, that was not me in medellin, it was my financial advisor. Nice of you to notice though.....you young studly dude.

Gringotim: Yea, fond memories. But we could go a long time on those happenings. Nothing like the TV programs of the 50's and 60's.

Ding Dong: You jest about the lifetime membership in CRT which is a great deal......hell, I do not even sign up for a "one year" subscription for a magazine. I was a vibrant radio listener of the old shows in the late forties and early fifties. I could name a lot more but it would be boring on this forum. My post mainly was to express some things we find today in our oh so fleeting lives. Every decade takes on a whole new meaning in our lives.
