Joining the Coast Guard as the recruiter told me would be the "beginning of my life." So here we are a bunch of K*ds in the Philadelphia airport waiting for the bus for Cape May to show up. There is this Cuban girl from Miami. We will call her Diaz. Well I spot Diaz coming out of the men's room with one of the guys. She comes up to me and says "Don't think you are getting any of this pu*sy!!" Well we all head to Cape May go through the whole nine yards of bullshit. The company commander is a Porgy from Mass. Chief Portugal was a hard core former marine, couple of tours in Nam. Switched over to the Coast Guard, hell of a guy. I specialized in avoiding him. For that I spent a lot of time doing push ups and running around high porting my piece. Generally Coast Guard boot camp is no big deal, at all. Really a lot of fun actually. I will give you an example.
Ok its early in the process say three weeks in. We are all coming down the "ladder" to head to some class about the glories of Uncle Sams Confused Group. I was like fifteenth or so back from the head of the procession. All of a sudden here comes Diaz, bolting off out the squad bay hatch blowing by the Company Commander. CC-"Where the hell do you think your going lady?" Split Tail-"Oh I forgot I have an appointment." CC-"You don't go aaaaneeeewhere with out my permission. Now where are you going lady?" Split Tail-"That's personal, and you can't stop me." CC-"Get your ass up to my office NOW." CC-"You all sit your asses down." So up to the Chiefs office they go. All of us can hear what happens next. CC-(with other CC in office)"What is your problem lady?" Split Tail-"I told you its personal." CC-"Is it a female problem, are you sick? Split Tail-"I don't want to talk about it. Its between the doctors and me." CC-"Nothing goes on in my company that I do not know about. Do you have a pu*sy problem? Do you have a dirty pu*sy? Have YOUUU been infecting my men? Split Tail-In total tears and non responsive.
Well off she went and we never saw her again. Turns out the guy from the Philadelphia airport men's room came down with the clap. Made me feel sort of funny. Here was most likely the biggest whore in the Coast Guard, no pu*sy for me. Bitch!

So graduation day Uncle Sams Confused Group, Cape May, NJ. Cold ass Feb morning. Every thing is crisp new and promising. My military sea going future lies ahead. As I am walking up the quad my CC( who we have addressed as "Sir" for eight weeks now addressed as "Chief") bellows from fifty feet away. ".Naughton" there is a whore waiting for you at the chow hall!" As I round up for the chow hall I am sure I know who is there. As I focus. I do indeed see my Mother.
