You are driving down the road on a stormy night, and pass a bus stop and see three people standing in the rain, waiting on the bus.
1- an old lady, who looks like she is on death's door
2- an old friend, who once saved your life
3- the woman of your dreams, who you've been searching for all your life.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride, knowing that only ONE passenger could go in your car? Think hard before continuing.
This is an ethical/moral dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
You could take the old lady, and maybe save her life.
You could pick up the friend, and thus repay him for saving you.
Or, you could pick up the possible love of your life, knowing that you may never get another chance to find your perfect mate.
You may not believe this.................
The candidate who was hired, (out of over 200 applicants) had no trouble with his answer. He answered, "I would give the keys to my car to my friend, and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I would stay with the girl of my dreams and wait together for the bus."
Sometimes we gain more if our thinking is more unothodox. Never be afraid to think "out of the box".
