Actually, Thursday morning (Jan. 15 2009) I awoke to a temperature of minus 24 degrees F. and a wind chill factor of minus 44. :!:

I can only imagine my heating bill for January...this is gonna suck.

Vis-a-vis los huevos: We experience something called a Minnesota Sex Change up here. You lose your genitals, but gain nipples.

It's really nice today, albeit cloudy. Currently 28 degrees F. :!: :D

Ah, glad I am that I come from such tough Germanic and Anglo-Saxon stock. You thin-blooded little poosie-boys living in Florida will never understand the inherent strength, toughness and stoicism of us Minnesotans!

I was at Great lakes Ill. exactly 1 year ago today. I was there to watch my son graduate basic training. It was minus 15.I had car problems and called a tow truck to haul muy suv to pep boys. When the tow truck driver got there he commented on my southern accent and ask me what I was doing there, I told him to see my son graduate. This guy spent 10 years in the navy. He spent an hour trying to fix my suv, he told me all I needed was a powerflush, he towed me to the shop, negociated a good price for me , and didnt charge me for the tow. i stuffed 40 bucks in his shirt pocket.Since I was an out of town redneck I expected to be fully phucked by everyone . Man was I surprised, everyone was very friendly and helpful and my hats off to our Chicago members

El Ciego,

I wish it would warm up to minus 24 degrees F here! :D

Last week in Winnipeg: -37 Celsius (-53 with wind-chill)

I'm with PR, Devo. That is beyond stupid cold! Please entertain us with something that keeps that many people in a city that gets THAT cold.   There has to be a reason why you still live there?
