Why oh why are you guys so hip on the LAXatives when Las Vegas has Philly as 6-5 favorites? You know something professional gamblers don't? Or is this merely a fervent though misguided hope? Curious thing: LA is much favored to beat any AL chump team. Go figure. Tell you what, I'll even (sport that I am) spot you a Manny HR per game. What a guy, right? I think we can agree tonight will be one of the better pitched games (both sides) in a long time and you damn skippy I wish we had Derek Lowe rather than say Adam Eaton--DL would make a great #2 on our staff. Ho de ho.

Phillies host first gay night

Bucks County Courier Times ^ | August 13, 2003 | By ANTHONY STITT

PHILADELPHIA - OK, so when the Phillie Phanatic bumbled into section 508, a woman threw a rainbow flag onto the fuzzy, green mascot. At that moment, a guy wondered aloud: "Maybe the Phanatic's gay." Hmmm. Eyebrows arched. It seemed like a typical night at Veterans Stadium. But something was oh so different. Some called last night's Phillies game historic. Some ignored it. Some embraced it. Some scoffed. The Phillies hosted a franchise first - Gay Community Night. Nearly 800 spectators crowded into eight upper-deck sections designated for gay and lesbian groups along the first-base line. The rainbow colors - a...

Well it is the city of "brotherly" love.... :P

Last time I checked being a 6:5 dog without home-field advantage is pretty solid. Betters and Las Vegas are wrong frequently anyways, especially in a parody stricken game like baseball where momentum plays a huge factor...

Don't sleep on the blue-crew

P.S. watch out for the Lakers, you guys better hope vegas is wrong on their odds to win the NBA trophy.

Kick his ass? Yeah, he did --20 years ago. Living in the past, aren't you? Plus Lasorda is a Philly-area guy (Norristown, Pa.). And hey I don't give a rabid rabbit's rectum if the Fightin' Phils play in tu-tus--it's how they play that counts. Let the battle be joined.
Oh, and hey thanks for posting that dance video--used it to brush up my steppin'. Ho de ho.
