It gave me great pleasure to hear Steve Spurrier refer to your institution as "Runner Up U."

Well said...
One of my favorite moments was at the Final Four basketball game this spring in Atlanta when OSU played
the defending National Champions, the University of Florida...
We were in a section of all orange and Blue and a rather rotund gentleman had a seat amongst us...
He was wearing a newly purchased and too tight red and white T shirt with OSU proudly emblazoning his chest/stomach....
He was the only one in a crazy Gator section...
I reached out to shake his hand and said " Welcome to the Swamp"...
He turned red, delicately balancing his popcorn and 40 oz. Coke and looked like he was going to puke...
He lasted the first half, then disappeared ...
And U of F kicked ass to win back to back national basketball titles...
All's good in Gatorland....

Tony- great remembrance. Your Gators have been awesome of late, as much as it pains me to say as a 'Cane. Nod to MG too. How nice though to beat Runner Up U in both big sports. I am sure Lawrence Funderburk is visiting Maurice Clarett this weekend. But I salute you Tony for being at the Championship game, as well as Homecoming. Those OSU fans can drink some big calorie loaded sodas!! I guess that happens in the "Heart of it All."

Pac- only halftime. If they lose do I then not buy the Oregon shirt I planned on in Portland on Saturday??

El S;
I think you're right about your Championshp game, but I think the best money line bet tomorrow is Ole Miss plus 850 againt LSU. Given their history, and the fact Ole Miss has been awful (but came close to UF and should have had a chance to beat Bama but for the OSU-Miami Fiesta Bowl '03 boobs officiating), I believe the educated money line is plus 420. But I am not an oddsmaler in Vegas. As such, (I know Cubby has been chased away with is picks), Ole Miss is the best longshot on Saturday. That's why it's gambling!

Geaux to hell LSU!!

The last game for Lloyd Carr vs OSU. They want to send him out a winner.

Look like Lloyd might call it quits. News conference coming.

Was extremely disapppointed in his teams performance if this truly was goodbye.

GO KANSAS, although I will stick with my earlier prediction of an LSU Oklahoma BCS Championship Game

Illinois 2nd best in the Big Ten...Who would have thunk it...

If Lloyd calls it quits before the bowl games, so much for Les Miles comming to Michigan. If he waits to announce, I think a "Michigan man will coach a Michigan team."

Oklahoma better score 25 point quickly!

What a great game! Sorry to see Lloyd go, maybe he can come back next year just to coach the game against the Buckeys.

Hey Mia2Ewr, at least the Canes didn't lose 48-0 again this week. Maybe they could get Notre Dame on their schedule. By the way, check out this link:

Nice link. I wish the Canes had Notre Dame on the schedule this year. At least they would be competitive!!!
