The little white cottage across the street from the Colonial has finally opened. Most of us have no doubt seen this place as we come out of the Colonial and we've wondered what it will be and when it will open.
Well, I checked it out last night:
A bright blue neon sign/light announces "Club Colonial, Snack Bar and Resturant" draws you in. The ambiance is kind of like a private club with couches, coffee tables and a pool table and bar in the front part. In the rear part of the building there are tables with linnen and fine silver.
The menu for the rear part is about 40% more than the Magnolia accross the street and the food is about the same.
In the front part, you can order bar items such as quesidillia, hamburgers, cheeze sticks etc. I ordered the burger which was decent and much cheaper than the Del Mar's. Price including a coke came to 2700 colones.
In the back, the resturant part, you'll spend between 4000 and 8000 depending on chicken or meat entrees.

Steve,

Is it still open? Last 4 or 5 times have been in that area it looks closed.
