The concept behind Batanga is to combine the menus of several different restaurants into a single location. They share the same kitchen, staff and bar. There is a location in Escalante (easy Uber from SL) and a new one in Nunciatura (Between Sabana and Rohrmoser). The selections are from Mr Shawarma (Lebanese), Aguizotes (Latin), Republic Parrilla (Steaks & Burgers), Grill Wings. The bar Gato Negro.

The atmosphere and execution of the Batangas are much better than the individual restaurants. There is both open air and covered seating. The open air seating is in a large central patio area away from the traffic and street noise. Good lunch specials (appetizer, main plate with two sides, natural drink). They also have after 3pm small plate specials often with 2x1 drink options. They are open until 11pm during the week and 1am on weekends.

Lunch - around 5mil, Afternoon snack for 2 (2x1 Margarita and shared nachos) - 10mil, Evening meal for 2 (shared ceviche app, 2 steak dinners, 2 signature cocktails) - 30mil.

Best menus and pics are on their Instagram.

BTW, Batanga Rohrmoser has recently gone down in quality and value. No telling if it is permanent, but they have changed menus several times and lunches no longer seem cooked to order.

I like Rosti Pollos Parque Sabana.

Basic menu but very flavorful and fresh!

Batanga maybe going downhill due to escalating food prices and less business?

Rosti food is still good, but prices are rising. A basic family meal (whole chicken, cole slaw, beans, tortillas, pico de gallo and a dessert cake) will set you back around $40 US.
