The Tournant Restaurant & Cafe (and the Galeria Talentum) just posted on their Instagram that they will be closing in December. This is the property adjacent to the Hotel Taormina (NOT the hotel restaurant). They indicate they will open again somewhere in San Jose, but does not give a date or location. |

I enjoyed that place, convenient and good food. Very nice atmosphere. It would be a great place for another restaurant with the garden, etc. |

That's a shame! That was my go to spot to meet my new Tinder girls, then walk them 1 block down to my Airbnb. How convenient it was! |

They do a good afternoon cafecito and have multiple indoor and outdoor seating. Meals are also good and they are open until 8pm every day. Bilingual staff, discreet. The heavyset white girl is an Argentinian who is pleasant to joke with. Alternately, De Aca cafe on c3a, between Taormina and Little Havana (across from the convent), is good for coffee and dessert. The seating is upstairs, but has a nice balcony view. You often have to ring the doorbell to enter. |

Tournant has reopened in San Isidro de Heredia. Too far away for me. |

The Tournant's Instagram feed indicates that they will open a location in Otoya (same barrio as SL & La Amistad). |

The owner of Taormina bought the building next door where Tournament was located. They may build a pool over there. |
