We ate at Las Tapas de Manuel over the weekend and I must say that it’s had better days. I went there last year and absolutely loved it but this year it’s gone to the dogs. The ambiance is quite nice and the flamenco show is great but the food is a second rate attempt to imitate a Spanish tapas restaurant.

I ordered six dishes from the Serrano ham to the Boquerones. I was most disappointed by the Spanish omelet. How could a Spaniard ever mess that up?

It gets an 8 of 10 for service and ambiance and a really low 3 of 10 for the quality of food.
