Before the Amistad got so popular and prior to the all inclusive the chef would make a pizza. Best pizza you ever ate. Matt, never put it on the menu and stopped letting the chef make them. I hope Matt will reconsider this item and let more people experience a true work of art.

He can still make the pizza. Problem is if the chef is not there (his day off or vaction) the helper does not know how to make the dough.

Have to give props to the Surf and Turf Sunday Special. Soup, salad, steak, shrimp, fish, baked potato, veggies and a brownie with ice cream all for $12? OMG it was so nice to eat a good steak...

PVT,
I take it that because you live there anyone can go to LA & eat, you would simply have to pay for it?

Thanks,

The restaurant is open to everybody, not just guests staying there. I make it a point to eat there every trip, even if not staying there. The food is excellent at the right price. And like PVT said, the specials are a great value.

+100.

I don't stay there. But I'll often go there with guys, and also with favorite chicas, for a very good dinner.

Yes, Amistad's restaurant is for anyone to enjoy not just those lucky enough to stay there. I just had to bump this thread and remind everyone about the fantastic Surf and Turf special on Sunday. I'd forgotten about it until I saw the sign on the way in and just wanted to remind everyone what a fantastic deal it is and how darn good it was!

No, I think he had supply issues if I remember correctly. There is now a good chunk of fish included instead, at least based on the four my group ate this past Sunday.

Sorry we do not allow sharing for specials and all inclusive meals. If you have any questions you can call darren at the hotel and he can explain the promotions. 1 877 260 3027

Stayed there on both trips and did the all-inclusive. Really didn't enjoy the first meal (first day), but I have a feeling the reason was I was wide eyed and waiting for one of the legends. I enjoyed all of the meals since that first one. Breakfast was superb. All other meals had great flavor and portions were more than adequate. I don't drink alcohol any longer (have an allergy and break out in handcuffs). All-inclusive even without alcohol can't be beat. If I remember right it was like $10. more.
