Holas amigos,

I haven't seen much comment on "delivery service" from restaurants. Is this uncommon in San Jose ? I know most of the hotels could offer room service, but I'm thinking of places where you might be staying that are not major hotels.

I'm not talking specifically about pizza and chicken, but maybe other items like Chinese, Ribs, or some typico foods.

And maybe there are services where you could call a place that offers take-out and have the service deliver it to you your door.

Would like to hear any recommendations or experiences with these services if they do exist.

Delivery is the norm in San Jose not the exception. Besides pizza & chicken as in the US here both McDonald's and BK deliver as well as many Tico places. I have had delivery from Princess Marina. You will have no problem getting almost any kind of food delivered.

Staying in Amon, the Hamburger Factory delivers, which is a decent choice for BBQ at night, since the ribs and BBQ chicken are OK. When I stayed in Sabana Sur, people used to get stuff from Princessa Marina delivered. Talk to the folks at the front desk wherever you stay.
