I've poked around and didn't see much of anything mentioned about the food at Hotel La Amistad. Their breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks all inclusive deal is tempting. Has anyone from the board gone that route? If so, was the food good? Do they just let you order up anything and everything on the menu 3 times a day, then send you off to your room with wine or well drinks? Because that sounds pretty awesome and a much better deal than the regular CRT discount (assuming I'm reading the website right and you can't use CRT discount on the inclusive special). I searched the forum and only saw one person who was thinking about doing it on his next trip, so I apologize if this was mentioned somewhere and I missed it. |

I can vouch for it being a truly good deal with excellent food. Go to the La Amistad site to see details. The menu is not updated on the site but the current menu has an excellent selection. And, the bartenders are really cute and very nice. Eye candy whilst you are eating the good food. |

You can order anything off the menu, no additional costs unless you upgrade the booze. If you have a guest you pay a flat rate for the day or pay by the meal. Stayed there about five days and sampled most of the menu, all was good. Save room for the brownie desert. |

what about inclusive drinks? can you stock up on a couple beers and water and take them back to your room, or do you have to drink them there at the meal? |

Some places are pretty strict and others are sensible. Just looking to see if anyone had experience with this so I can better plan my stay, if at all. Thanks. |

There's a mini-fridge in your room. Stock with your own supply. Don't think would be a problem bringing a half-consume drink, from the bar, to your room. The bar & restaurant is not the local mercado. cheers, Attila |

We assume everyone who has a guest pays for the guest via honor system. You always have the option of adding any guest to your room under the all inclusive for $50 plus tax. Your guest would than enjoy all the benefits of the all inclusive deal. Regards Matt Hotel Amistad |
