Been away for a few months and my does shit happen when you are gone! Last trip was to HLH in June and BK was still there. Not to get into that, though. Last time I was there, kitchen was closed for remodeling.

Has the kitchen re-opened? Are the two Colombian sisters still cooking there? How's the food and menu? Heading back in March and just want to know.

Thanks in advance.

Had a cheeseburger there last trip & it was the best burger I've ever had in Latin America.

Too bad it's the only good thing I can say about HLH.

I was at the hlh in early october. Had the meatball sub with fries and it was awesome! Someone had complained about the meatball sub having too much sauce but I thought it was perfection. The fries were also very, very good. Not cheap at around $9 but I am willing to pay for such a delectable meal and it's a lot of food. I will be back in December and I will be ordering a meatball sub with fries. Best meal I had during my last trip to Costa Rica was the meatball sub at hlh and I tried a lot of different places.

Peace

I was there yesterday for breakfast. I enquired about the French Toast but the American Breakfast was suggested. So I decided on The American and it was actually quite good. Only complaint would be instead of traditional toast, it was toasted mini tools, but they were still really good.

american breakfast is 2,500 colones and is quite good (bacon, two eggs, toast and hash browns). French toast is 1,500 colones and good also. Burgers, philly cheese, meatball sub and quesadilla are also good. Portions are large for the money on all items.

I've always wondered if the straight (one is a lesbian I've been told) colombian twin sister could be had. Something about her has me wondering if she is good in the sack!

I've asked, and been told that the cooks are not on the menu. That's unfortunate IMHO.

But it seems like it would be worth asking the question again.
