Located one block to the right at the last intersection before entering the market off Ave 1. coming from the gulch. Apparently the owners have a ranch in the Guanacaste that has small herds of Springbook and Gazeles imported from Africa and they are on the menu as well as beef, pork, iguana and horse. Real good prices prepared by real Ethiopians. 8)

What is the name and is it on the window or something in the front? I am interested in trying this out.

The name is Ethiopian Barbeque. Try the horse, tenderized marianated in apricot brandy(which originated in Ethiopia) sprinkled with peppercorn and cooked over an open flame Ethiopian style. 8)

Even TripAdvisor had nothing on this. However, if you want to try cooking some other Ethiopian dishes...:

Ya, the jazzbot needs reprogramming lol

It is YOU Vegan Bob who is the epic fail. Jazz was providing good and useful information; you added nothing.

BTW, if someone does go to this place, I suggest Doro wat for someone who is new to Ethiopian food- just ask for it fairly mild if you are not down with heat.

Also, nearly all Ethiopian food is served on Injera, a wonderful spongy sour bread that is fantastic for soaking up sauces...Yum Yum

As VeganBob seems to not realize, context is everything. A little chaffing, a little teasing is how business gets conducted here, not unrelenting bushwa blase bon ton bullsh!t.

Of all of the posters on this board, Jazzbo is always there to lend a helping hand with links to valuable info and does not deserve to be slammed, or bushwacked in a bourgeois fashion. I have to say, admin must be pulling his hair out. It's like running a day care center here sometimes.

One mans 'helping hand' is another man's 'spam'. Personally I think he just clogs the board with off-topic info.

Interesting how he likes to alter people's posts- I never said that about Jazz..

What a guy..

At first I thought Ethiopian BBQ post was a bad joke.
Very interesting. Good post. Thanks.
Eating is one of the great joys of life and a lot of people (North Americans) are not too adventurous when it comes to trying different things.
I've eaten horse (and whores  ) a few times and found it too lean. Monkey, too stringy. Iguana tastes like, yep, chicken. And prime Thai poosie............. 8): Nectar of the Gods.

Some of you need to live life a little more.

Has anybody found this place? I went looking for it today, and had no luck and even asked a couple of Chances vendors and they didn't know of it.

I expected that when I came back I'd find the post was dated 4/1...but no. If anyone besides OP has eaten there please give me some landmarks.

I figured as much. Thanks for the confirmation. It doesn't make sense to me that someone would bother to send out bad information like this, but I guess there are folks with weird motives among us.
