Just had a pretty good Italian Dinner a L'Ancora in Barrio Escalante. Eggplant parm was the best I have had so far in SJO and the pizza was pretty good doe CR Standards |

agree. that is my favorite italian. little pricey but worth it. |

LaDiablo, that seems to be the problem in SJO, in order to get a decent tasting meal you have to pay through the nose. |

I prefer Limoncello, nearby, less pricey and great service. La Ancora has a history of padding bills and bait and switch with wine. We all used to go there but they pissed most of the local gringos off over time. |
