Repost from Tico Times:
Quote:
The U.S., California-based hamburger chain Carl’s Jr. offered Costa Rica an alternative to Thanksgiving on Thursday, opening its first-ever location near the Central Park in downtown San José. The growing chain, which operates 3,182 restaurants worldwide, plans to open 25 locations in Costa Rica during the next five years. Two more locations will be inaugurated before the end of the year, at the food court in Mall San Pedro, east of San José, and at Plaza Real Cariari on the highway to the airport, northwest of the capital.

The first sentence in the Tico Times article:

The U.S., California-based hamburger chain Carl’s Jr. offered Costa Rica an alternative to Thanksgiving on Thursday, opening its first-ever location near the Central Park in downtown San José.

Guess that qualifies them as a West Coast chain. :P

Excellent, another greasy fast food joint in Mall San Pedro soon when I'm in the mood for such meal. Right now Popeyes and KFC are my usual hangouts.

It is quite popular on the West Coast. It's one of the better (i.e. in the sense of "less bad") fast food chains.

They put the first one almost next door to " Juniors" a small hamberger stand up shop that has been there for years. At the West end of Parque Central

Carl's Jr is the same as Hardees, just different names for different coasts for whatever reason

Damn I wish Whataburger would open a chain down here. Not likely since they're not even in most states in the USA. They always cook burgers to order so they make the best fast food burgers of any chain I've everr been to.
