Okay, I don't mean to stir the pot. Everyone has their own opinion, no on is right but I just wanted to know what you thought. I personally have Kimberly at the SL and Karen at the HLH tie for first. I think they are hotter than doughnut grease with great personalities.

Jessica at Chubbs, hands down! I was a bartender in the States before I came here and she is the only bartender I've found in CR that can really sling!

The girl at Chubbs is cool. She's from the US, at least spent a lot of time there. The only bartender I know from HLH is the Asian lady. She seems kind of gruff. My last stay at the SL had the best all around bartenders. Sexy and very cool.

Seriously? You are on a quest to find the best bartender? Does it really make a difference who brings you a bottle of beer or a drink?

I'm sorry, I just don't understand the importance of the bartender. To me, a beer tastes exactly the sam no matter who brings it.

To me a bartender is important in one aspect only: being attentive. I had some super slow servers down there. I don't like to feel like I am being graced with your presence or interrupting your conversation with the other bartenders to get my drink.

My favorite is Kimberly at the SL. I hope she is still there as I read a post there has been some turnover.

Yeah, some guys just get a jones for certain things I suppose. I don't get it personally. You've got literally hundreds of chicas in the gulch at any given time of the day and the sharp focus is on the chick serving drinks? It reminds me of what women do when they go to a club and there's hundreds of dudes who wanna get with them and all the woman can think about is sexing the DJ.

If you want to get better service from the bar do what people have done since the beginning of alcohol consumption: slip the barmaid 2-4 colones. Problem solved guaranteed.

Jessica at Chubbs is super cool and I love her ink, the problem is they need more than one bartender in that bar. One cannot keep it going. And I also agree. WTF cares as long as you don't sit there for an eternity with an empty glass.

+1 for Kimberly. & her dad is a very reputable cab driver.

Love Kimberly too, she took good care of me last night! Always said if I got into the bar business here, and I won't, that I would want Jessica handling my bar. I would almost guarantee you that she sells more on a shift than anybody else you might put in the same circumstances.

I guess this is based just on bartending ability or are you asking which ones are available for after hours bartending?

Not sure about OP's question, but I am talking about bartending. I watch bartenders, having been one and guarantee that Jess will sell more on a shift than any other bartender in the same setting.

I can't disagree. I have known Jessica for a while now. I did like her better with red hair. I have not seen her in about 3 or 4 months though. Funny I walk by Chubbs all the time and don't stop in very often. When she was running the BM there was always a party going on. I just think this is an odd question to ask. I think probably outside of the gulch there are some pretty decent bartenders. There is a girl at Chichis in Escazu is beautiful and very attentive. Does she count? Just wondering.

based on performing their job well and being attentive, jessica is my choice. i was told she's over 50 too. her body is hard as a rock as well.
i think its easy to dismiss what a good bartender does but it really is noticeable when they don't do it. a quick smile, word of advice, recommendation, keep your drink and/or stomach full and getting the check there when your finished. should be easy but it doesn't seem that way ime. and if they drink while they work its typically a mess.

Naw, I don't think Jess is not over 50. I think she is right around my age. late 30's early 40's. She used to date Charlie the tatoo guy from Arte Primativo in San Pedro. That is how I met her. Well, I met her in the BM, but got to know her through him. If she is actually close to 50 I would be shocked.
