While Pops was driving us out of Manuel Antonio on Friday, I asked him to hit Subway in Jaco. He said there was a good sandwich shop in Manuel Antonio and he was right!

It's called L'Angelos, and it's on par with a few of the Italian-owned places I used to frequent in Houston. Top quality meats and cheeses, all imported, and great fresh toppings. They also do pastas. Not sure exactly where it is but ask your hotel and I think they will know, or maybe Pops can share where it is. It beats the shit outta Subway for sure! I wish I could find such a good sandwich place in San Jose, but I'm still looking.

http://www.tripwolf.com/en/guide/show/6 ... os/LAngolo
http://best-stays.com/location.php?id=2 ... Costa-Rica << Ph.# and sort-of map
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_R ... renas.html << 2 of 6 reviews were grouches

http://www.buenavistaluxuryvillas.com/restaurants.php << This one is included because of the area restaurant/entertainment listing--not much on this restaurant.

in quepos central, not manuel antonio, often inter-changed, but for those who don't know. can't miss it, walk around to the south and west of the bus station area and you'll find it easy, quepos centro is not that big. nice choice for italiano. for tico cuisine, try soda restaurante junior, across the street to the south of the bus station, seafood soup for five bucks that will fill you all day.

D'oh that's right it is in Quepos, not MA. Thanks Jazzbo for posting the reviews, Tripadvisor has an approximate location so I think I can find it again.
