for those with a smattering of cojones...grab the san antonio escazu bus..ask the taxi to take you to the stop or just walk down paseo until you make the crook in the road past all the buses and service station on the corner..keeping walking until you see the line of buses on the street perpendicular on the right to the one youre on..get off in middle escazu..walk around ..lots and lots of sodas with brkfst ...a nice argentine outdoor place with brkfst and lunch..very safe during the day..youll see lots of long term expats around...grab a pirate to multiplaza ..3.50 or so...big mall.. movies ..food court..go downstairs..to librobooks thru the outerdoor across the parking lot thru the fence to the bustop and back to town..or you can catch the bus in front of the mall ..facing the hotel across the rowtunder get lost have some fun..

I see lots of lunch and supper places, but where are some great places for breakfast? And not that Gallo Pinto crap! CR is the only Latin country I won't eat rice and beans. I guess I am spoiled on Cuban and Puerto Rican varieties that have flavor.

I like to eat big breakfasts and would like some suggestions.

There are three posts on this thread for the best american breakfest as being at the Del Mar. Have you tried it? You should not need a map?

The News Cafe is open for breakfest, but you don't get to mingle with the street monkies anymore.
