I came across a reference to this place in (I believe) Paseo Colon. Anybody got the 411 on what sounds like an interesting outdoor cafe with international food? Brother ID? Greengo? Other peripatetic SJO travellers?

I've heard of at least one Café Moro, but it is located in Barrio Amon not Paseo Colon (which would actually be better for most of us) and I'm not sure if they have any "al fresco dining" unless they have some hidden courtyard that you can't see from the street. It is the Moorish Castlely looking building on the corner of Calle 3 between Ave 11 y 13. You can find a picture and article about the building here. According to what I've also found elsewhere on the web, they serve mediterranean and international cuisine, their tel# is 2223-3116 and they're open Mon-Thu from 11:30AM to 9:30PM, Fri until 10:30PM and Saturdays just for dinner (from 5-10:30PM). The one review they had on it at TA was very vague and uninformative but FWIW that one reviewer only gave them 3.5 stars out of 5. Since it is so convenient for us denizens of Amon (particularly frequenters of the Dunn Inn or HLH) maybe someone here could check it out for us and report back.

I have eaten there once a few years ago. I guess there was nothing remarkable about the food because I have no memory of the quality. It is located in Barrio Amon. As I remember it is about one block west of the parking garage entrance to the Clarion. The out door dining is not really outdoors. It is in what I would call the porch if it was a typical U.S. style house not sure what they call it in the style of that building.

.. or so unremarkable that you never went back. I believe a porch on a building like that might be called something like a "terrazo" perhaps? The food may be unremarkable but, as an architectural buff, I find the building itself quite remarkable. It might be worth dining there once just to get a closer look.
