I am trying to keep my meal cost down and am looking for a decent place to eat lunch relatively cheaply. No fast food. Thoughts and votes? |

I wouldn't rank it as one of the "best" places, but the Hotel Morazon has a lunch buffet from 11:30am to 2pm for 2500 colones. It's on the second floor. The food is okay, plus it's very convenient if you're walking around downtown. |

I ate there one time during my last trip. A plate of chicken fried rice and a bottle of water was over $6. That was one of the cheaper items on the menu. That's just my experience, others have recommended it. The dessert menu sounds like a better idea.

I've eaten there a few times, and know it comes recommended, but I've found numerous other places that serve as good, or better food, for a lot cheaper. I think they have a great location though, its nice to pit stop in there before or after a HLH session. |

The lunch special at Hotel La Amistad cannot be beaten. I believe it runs from 11am---2pm, but I may be off a bit. I went there once. The meat was perfect. Succulent and juicy. The Soda Peru, I'll have to check it out next month.

Harry's Poas Bar eaten there many a time and lived to tell about it .... Get a boca 3-4 bucks and a cold drink 6 bucks tops The Cololumbian place next door I hear is good??? Both places just around the corner from Soda Peru... which is just up from HLH on the other side of the street Lunch and a leche

I'm actually eating lunch into a international fast food restaurant, which is McDonals. However, I am agree that the harry poas bar can make you happy, this is the restaurant that you can buy what you want. |
