Thanks, Admin and Sneaky Pete's. I look forward to checking out the burgers and such at this place on my impending trip given I'm planning on touring that sector where the better half purportedly reside and play....

Good deal. I am glad to see he signed up, I was begining to wonder if he was just plugging his establishment on some threads until he was asked to stop, we will definitely stop by when we are in town and let him know it was because of CRT.

not sure of the address but the cabs all know., It is directly across from the entry gate in a little plaza. I enjoyed breakfast there. He makes great burritos and the burgers looked great. Ask him about the Costa Rica Beef. Very impressive little streetside cafe.

A lot of taxistas will give you a blank stare if you ask for the United States Embassy. Tell them you want to go to Embajada estadounidense that they will know.

From the Breakfast Menu--"No charge for leche..."--Now that brings a disturbing image to mind. I see'm heading back to the kitchen with my mug of coffee, it's "I'm outta there" time for this hombre. Just funnin'...

I'm always looking for another good place to have breakfast. Especially when I'm up half the night hitting the liquor and partying with a lady who did a todo la noche with me, and I want to take her to breakfast!

I've been to Sneaky Petes, 3 times now.

1st time my wife and I ate lunch.
I had the philly cheese steak sub with fries
She had the coney island chili dog

Both were delicious.

James (chef) gave me a small hamburger to try. Without lying it was by far the best carne molida I've tasted in 4 years of being in Costa Rica. He said he uses filet mignon and ahs it ground, and I believe him.

The following morning we went for breakfast.
She got the "tica" burrito (pinto, eggs, etc) in a breakeast burrito.
I got the waffle with bacon.
DELICIOUS!
He gave me a sample of his home made sausage. Very tasty!

I forgot to mention the Coffee is FANTASTIC!

This morning I had the waffle again. For once in CR I got the same food twice on two different days, and it was exactly the same. McDonalds can't even do that :)

Why am I always suspicious when a guy joins CRT and his first post, made on the day he joins, is about how good some place is?

Of course, all you really need to do if you want to go there is tell the taxi driver the United States Embassy or, more exactly, Embajada de los Estados Unidos, because you're probably going to need a taxi to get there any way. The US Embassy is definitely NOT on the CRT map because it is located in Pavas way on the other side of Rohrmoser and Sabana Park. And Sabana Park doesn't even start until the far western edge of the CRT Paseo Colon map on the west side of downtown. That news release places it at Calle 120 and Avenida Central, which is like what 6kms(?) west of Calle Central.

If you're adventurous like I am and want to try going there by bus, the Embassy is on the right side of the road about 5 blocks after you cross over the Hwy that circumnavigates around SJ (get off the bus where Avenida 0 forks to the left and continue walking straight 1 short block until you see the Embassy on the right). The bus takes about 20-25 minutes and leaves from the either the large park just south of Pantera Rosa (Gonzalez Viquez) or the Estacion Pacifico which is located just a couple of blocks north of Kamur (if any of you remember where that is, or 4-5 blocks south of Arcadas and Molino Rojo if that works better for you).

...And for the non-adventurous (raise your hand, JazzboCR), it's how many minutes by cab and what's a taxista tipico cost? I mean from the Gulch.
