How is the menu at SL? Do they have any seafood on the menu and lighter things like soups and salads or is it all bar style food? How are the prices?? Butt Pirate |

They have very good salads and GREAT FOOD in my opinion. Breakfast lunch and dinner menus are all really good. The menus expand beyond the normal “bar style†foods. |

The chicken caesar salad is very good. My favorite there hands down is the chicken burrito. It's huge, stuffed with rice and in a very good sauce. Seafood... they had a seafood plate (never had) but I like the fish fingers (nuggets) with fries. Always hit the spot. You can find pretty much anything to your taste on the menu, good selection. |

Cool, I eat a lot of seafood, salads and shit like that which is on the lighter side. I like chicken too. I pretty much eat everything but I try to stay away from heavier meals. Butt Pirate |

If you want good seafood, try Princesa Marina. It's a chain restaurant, but it's not fast food. Very good food at reasonable prices. There's one near Sabana Park. I eat there once or twice each trip. I can't wait to eat my ceviche next week. ![]() (Who'll be the first with a Pink Snapper joke? ![]() |

I am going to be in SJ for 12 days and would like to do a little exploring. Different restaurants, etc. I appreciate any suggestions. Not just for restaurants but things to do/see in general. Brent you are thinking of Princessa Maria ![]() A little gem on the SL menu is Plata de dia steak, chichen, or a pork chop with rice, beans, and planten. It is very reasonable and I think 2700c It is a bit hidden on the menu. The portions at the SL are big! I always need help to finish the Nachos. finding a hungry shark is not to much of a problem at the place. YMMV I have only been once ![]() |

![]() The SL's nachos are one of my choices for a cheap big dinner. Not snack or appetizer, but actual dinner. ![]() |

Everyone has their personal favorites. Princessa Marina USE to be one of mine. In the past year their prices skyrocketed. That might have been expected given the CR rate of inflation in 2008 but unfortunately the quality of the food seems to have taken a turn for the worse. I wish I could say this was only my opinion but a lot of guys I know who use to go there also have given up on the place. Couple the prices, quality and the complete lack of atmosphere and noise level and there just is nothing going for it anymore. YMMV as always. |
