Just in case your a tad confused by those directions   you might find this more helpful. :D

Hooters is located in Plaza Itskatuz which is almost directly across from Hospital Cima. Take to Prospero Fernandez autopista , which runs on the south side of Parque Sabana, and get off at the first exit after the toll booth.

Lots of excellent restaurants in that Plaza as well as a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

I have been to the one in Costa Rica a couple of times. The directions above are right on. The CR Hooters is just like any other Hooters I have been to in the US (Newport Beach, Ontario, Las Vegas).

It is not advisable to go there looking for any special services. I think you would be disappointed. On the other hand, the American style comfort food is good if you get a yearning for Gringolandia.

Actually, i was kind of disappointed by Hooters. I was expecting it to be a little more loose and relaxed than a US version, but sadly no. The women are not that hot (though not ugly), and they kind of have an attitude.

I've been there twice and will probably never go back. The service was pretty bad.

The last time I went, I recognized one of the waitresses from the night before at DR. Apparently she recognized me as well beacause she came to my table about half way through my meal and asked if I wanted some company later on.

Jetblast, it's a chain restaurant. If you like the Hooters in your hometown, you will find essentially the same thing at the one in Escazu. Actually, the one item on the menu that is better in CR than in the US is the quesidilla: the soft taco is far superior (probably because they use lard instrad of vegetable shortening to make the dough).

Tell your taxi driver to take you to the Marriott Courtyard in Escazu. Hooters is directly across the parking lot.

On a recent trip, I stayed at the Courtyard and happened to have a room overlooking the parking lot. A cultural observation: the San Jose Hooters is probably the only store in the chain where the girls arrive to work in more revealing outfits than the ones they wear on the job!

Went there on my last trip about 11:30 am and was told they open at 12. So I left to go to multu plaza mall and returned at 12:45. The door was still padlocked but there were a few people inside. Waited 20 more minutes and then gave up and went back to gulch.

Yes, one of the the HDR ex-bartenders Ivana works or worked at the Hooters. But that was a year or so ago.

I am not a particular fan of Hooters. But will go a couple of times each year for a bucket of steamed oysters.
However, last time I went, the Manager asked me how eveything was. I told him that I'd settle for smaller hooters and bigger fresher oysters

Out of curosity, if you take the time and expense to go to a foreign country with a new and different culture, why would you want to go to an American place?

Go to the local place so you can experience something different and new. You can go to Hooter in the US but you cannot go to SL, HDR, or ZB (LH) in the US.

Gentlemen,
Please by all means continue to visit the Hooters in CR and ALL of your local Hooters. There are some of us that have a financial reason for you to go there and have a great time. Rules of the resturant are rules corporation wide. There are standards that must be kept in each resturant or the franchisee looses his $$. Whatever happens "off" the clock out of the resturant is another matter. Please contiue to patronize your local HOOTERS.
Thanks
Bobshere

Just for you Bobshere, I will go to Hooters in LV next month. I will also check my portfolio to see if I am also a part owner of the hooting and tooting business.
