There is a new restaurant in town called Lemon Zest. It is pretty rare that a new restaurant opens here and you get all good reviews from people you talk to. I finally ate there the other night and it is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Jaco. Foodies will really appreciate this place. The chef/ owner has come up with an incredible menu. He also has some premium wines on the list that you won't see in CR. I'm a port fan and noticed he has 5-6 selections of very good port. There are several fish dishes, a couple of steaks, duck, and a lot I am missing on the menu. For lunch, they have great sandwiches and salads. The deserts are to die for. Some friends had a frozen peanut butter pie that is out of this world. Atmosphere is pleasing and the service is good. Really not a place to take the girls though.

If you are going south through Jaco, it is on the left just past Mas x Menos. It is upstairs above Baglemans.

How's the pricing on fish, camarones, etc.? I enjoyed Wahoos! years ago but the last time I was there (about a year ago) it seemed the portions were smaller and the price was higher.

A bit pricey by CR standards but definitely worth it. We had an appetizer, coconut crusted mahi, filet mignon, two sodas and a coffee for $52.

I took your advice and that place is SUPER!!
The open kitchen is cool, the Chef/Owner was really cool and the food,
well some of the best anywhere...not just Jaco.
The Chef said he had studied culinary arts for over 20 years and had top reviews in Florida.
This place is a must try!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I've got to get back in there again soon. I think they are going to start doing some after hour lounge/ jazz type stuff pretty soon.
