I ate at this restaurant last night. I did a search on this forum and did not find any reviews, so here is my two colones.

This restaurant is located diagonaly across from La Amistad. $20 for a steak in wine and mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, veggies, a beer and a cup of coffee, and the standard extra gringo tip. Tablecloths and napkins are actually linen and the cutlery does not get brought to you in a plastic bag.

While expensive for Costa Rica, the steak was good. The wine sauce was at first couple of bites a little overpowering, but it grew on me. The veggies and the mashed were not bad but nothing special. For those cheapos out there (usually myself included) the linguini dishes with a drink would probably be about $12, but the English speaking waiter talked me into the steak. Worth it.

If you are in the area and Mundo is packed, check it out.

They also have live music on Friday nights. That particular evening they had dueling acoustic guitatist, the clientel was local, and FYI Latinoheat and PacoLoco......GAY. You two may want to consider this for Valentines Day :) :P Several tables of attractive Lesbians

The food was ok, had Salmon Carpaccio with horseradish mayo and pita. Caprese Salad, Mozzarella wasn't very fresh though. Calamari good. And Pasta Primavera add side of Chicken ok. Bottle of Antinori Santa Cristina bill was $68

For an alternative to Mundo, not bad. The live music enhanced the experience and would give it another shot.

Sounds like the typical steak dinner you can get at Nuestra Tierra for about the same price.....which I really like. :)

Si, at least that particular evening.

I actually was trying to focus my attention on my date  when she astutely pointed this out to me. First the maricones, and as I panned the room I'll be damned if I didn't see quite a few tables of LH's types enjoying the music and sharing food :P . Then I noticed a table of 8-10 women and half were "hittable" sucking lips with each other, carresing that soft skin on the arm and ........I got hard :)

Well needless to say my attention span for the remainder of the night was focused on two tables of lesbians having a great time. No wonder I didn't get laid that night :(
