I heard the bar was ordered closed but the restaurant could remain open. The same thing that happened to Shannon's. Evidently it has something to do with the percentage of food sales as compared to bar sales has to satisfy some percentage dictated by the type license they hold.

Shannon's has remodeled. They reduced the bar and added more tables. They expect to be allowed to resume alcohol sales sometime this week.

I suppose this was to satisfy government requirements, possibly to get the food vs. bar sales in line? :? Too bad they had to do that. It's been what......less than a year since the place was completely remodeled? I liked it the way it was. I'll see it for myself in January. :)

If you've ever eaten there you can certainly see why their food sales were down!
Or maybe they were closed for serving inedible food!
By far the worst restaurant I've EVER eaten at!

They could make a fortune with a GOOD restaurant over there that catered to mongers.

Used to be an excellent Italian restaurant there, years ago.

Used to be Faro"s i think. Had fair food and a little bar on the side walk. They always tried to shortchange me especially the barmaid. I could hear new owners screaming at staff "youre stealing me blind"as i passed on the way to delray (quite often i might add) new menu and food would choke a conehead!

I ate there often when it was Faro's. Had a great casada for 1200 colones, good service and never had a problem with short change. Have not eaten there since it became Dos Gringos. Right next door is a good restaurant with reasonable prices. Is owned by a gringo named Bill.

Dos Gringos food sucked. There is no better way to say it . The mexican food I got in California Juvenile Detention was far better.
