You mean pancake, eggs, ham and stuff like that? Casino Colonial, Hotel Morazan, Hotel Presidente, etc.

If you want better, more affordable breakfast go to Manolo's (Avenida central y calle 0) or Soda Chelles (Avenida central y calle 9)

Do you happen to know where was Arte and Sauna located at? There is one next to it.

A real man does not worry about cleaning all his clothes....if he did, he would bring along his mother or sister. I guess I will just have to offer the Circus plan. Never take more than one pair of jocks and socks along with the ones you wear during the flight. After a few days or when they began sticking to your ass..........wash them in the bath sink - shower (they do give you 2 bars of soap) and blow dry them or hang them on the outside of the sliding window of the hotel on a hanger, except for rainy season. The method of hanging them outside excites the chicas who walk the streets below and they will be putty in your hands. As far as slacks, collar shirts........leave them behind. Let's don't get preppy in the gulch. Next is condoms. Wash and recycle them plus use a bit of disinfect for health reasons. Mine usually fall off but if you are blessed with a good size pecker that will not become an issue.

As far as breakfast...........forget it. They do not serve grits in CR. Enough said.

I hope this helps you in your travels. Have a good trip..........Circus

YO Joe (Again):
I forgot to mention. If you are ugly, fat, and undersirable for women as some say I am.......... you might unscrew the shower head and pull up a chair........fair sex can be found that way. My last ditch effort is unscrewing the phone receiver after calling for a wake up call in 5 minutes and romancing the phone while a sexy chica desk clerk comes on to you...........if it is a chico......hang up. I hate to give up these secrets but after muchos years of visiting OZ it comes with the territory. There is the lamp socket approach but that takes a lot of experience......not for newbies.

Hopefully you are a fairly attractive guy and do not have to succomb to the deprevity of someone as myself. Basically, I'm pitiful.

Circus,

My last trip down there, the hotel said you left a golf ball washer in your room and asked me to give it to you.

I dropped it and it spilled, and I found your stash of used condoms.

I left it with that K*D that runs between the delRey and Key Largo, he put it in his shoe shine kit.

Pura vida sir,

Dman

Circus,

Oh yea, they said you left a puddy scraper too.

Now I know what you used that for. Some of those condoms on the bathroom floor get kinda sticky.

Great idea, the ball washer thing.

The Colonial Casino has an American style breakfast for about $3 but the service is slow.
The Presidente has a menu breakfast or a buffet breakfast for $6 but the service is slow off the menu.
The Del Rey has an overpriced breakfast for $10.
The bakery next to the Presidente has nice sweet rolls and such for anytime.

Hell, forget the deodorant.....chicas like a real man smell. Perfume? Only for the limp wristed pervert. One of my little secrets is applying a little Ron Rico 151 proof on each arm pit for foreplay, it also clears up a rash.

As for shoes, flip flops or tennis in the price range of Payless Shoes. Only hard soles if you're out for kicking a tranny or beggar. Another winner is not let the barber or yourself shave the back of your neck for at least three months prior to entering ground zero......it gives the chica a little something to hold on to while your pounding away, not to mention it projects the animal in you.

And NEVER NEVER succumb to a BBBJ before you first have that bitch suck on your big toe. Can;t be too careful. My only problem is that I usually drop my light load prior to her lips getting on my special purpose. You newbies out there need to ba aware of these local customs. Make old Circus and the rest of us proud of you. Pound one for the Gipper

Good one Circus. I don't hang-out much in the gulch, but you are someone I would really like to meet.

Thanks for your teachings. All them newbies should follow your advice.

For those who can't afford to buy Ron Rico would you recommend using Cerveza Imperial? Or should they apply lime juice instead?

Hanging underwear and socks outside the window is a great idea. However, when it starts to rain, I would hang them in front of the AC. It should work.

Breakfast at the Grand Hotel Costa Rica is fun.

Lavandaria Sixaola on Avenida 2 between Calle 9 and Calle 7 used to be a good deal, but they raised their prices. Arte y Sauna was an even better deal, since you could get a massage while you waited for your clothes, but it is now closed

There used to be self service laundry place at the internet cafe in the building next to the Grand Hotel Costa Rica across from the National Theater, but I don't know if it is still there.

Confirmed that the laundry in the internet place next to Hotel Costa Rica still has their self serve laundry going. I believe it's a 1000 colones for the washer, and 700 for the dryer.

Second Avenue is the big main street in front of Hotel Costa Rica. Just a few feet to the right down Second Avenue (without crossing the street) is a bunch of below grounds shops called Las Arcadas. The first one is the internet-laundry place. There's also a little eatery attached which you'll see down into from the steet. The food there is good if you finish checking your e-mail and want to have a bite while waiting for your clothes to dry.
