For any of you that are into Japanese food I heartily recommend the Fuji Restaurante in the Hotel Tryp Corobici.
Had dinner there last night in one of the private rooms (there are only two and reservations are highly recommended). The private rooms provide a traditional Japanese setting where you sit on the floor with your legs under the low table. Food is not cooked at your table as is done in Japan and many US Japanese restaurants. Good selection at reasonable prices.
They also have regular table seating as well as a Sushi Bar. This is not the Benihaha Japanese show steak house type where the chefs throw knives around and place slice and dice with their fingers.
I was recommended to this restaurant by a Japanese now-resident. As they say if you want Japanese food, go where the Japanese go to eat. You'll normally find no Japanese at a Benihana type place.
