Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Right up the street from Idem. Asian fusion style. Upscale crowd. Great place for dinner with your lady. Dinner for two approx $25 with a couple of drinks. Alot of healthy vegan dishes too if that's your thing.

I agree with Zebra. The food quality the three times I've eaten at Tinjo was very good, as was service. The portions are small for the prices, which are a bit high. Ambience is nice, with a really odd mix of Asian genres. The overall experience is quite a pleasure.

BTW, Is Don Wang still open next door? I haven't read much here lately about it.

BTW, the Thai food at Tinjo may be the weakest cuisine there, but it's still pretty good. YMMV for sure.

For Chinese food,I recommend Wongs (not Don Wangs which I hear is also good) Wongs is closer to the Gultch, the food is as good as Tin Jo,the service is MUCH better, the portions are much bigger, the prices are significantly less but the ambiance isn't as classy as Tin Jo. There seem to be mostly Chinese people eating there. (always a good sign)
Directions are to go down to Central from the DR and turn left. Wongs is a couple of blocks down on the left hand side.It is a large restaurant. The hot and sour soup is really great.

When they say hot (by Tico standards) they mean it. It is not spicy at all by Thai standards.
